A new small yarnbomb project

Yesterday i participated in another yarnbomb project. A lady who is restoring an old watermill, had seen the project of Heerlen Breit, and was wildly enthusiastic about it. She asked the ladies, who had organised this, to do a similar thing at her old mill. The mill is situated on the border of Holland and Germany, just separated by the river Worm. The new project was called: Knitting over the border. A group of ladies gathered for the day and knitted a ribbon of 11 meters, that was hung over the river, connecting the two countries. Here's a photo impression.

Clicking kneedles and chatter:)

Even the young ones participate.

Done measuring.

Ready to go.

Here we are, the connection is made!

  1. Wat gezellig! Welke molen is dit? Het doet me deugd om ook de jeugd te zien breien!

How cosy! What mill is this? It's good to see children knitting!
